Hello Mr. Riordan,
I suppose the Mamet Phil Spector biopic, whether faithful to reality or not, is really raising reasonable doubt about Phil Spector's guilt. Of course, Lozzi is all over this. The man is a pathetic liar. I know. I personally spoke to him. He told me he called the prison to say Phillip could take a hit out from there. Intelligent people thought that should be investigated. Here's a comment about Leonard Cohen and his good rock and roll comments re. Phil Spector. Which of Cohen's three versions of the Phil Spector before LA Superior Court (well, one is being concealed - the email - by the City Attorney's office) do you think Cohen believes? Do you think the prosecutor's in Phillip's case should have included the bottle of wine they left out or do you think it works better without the bottle of wine version that's on the internet? The Ramone's have recanted theirgood rock and roll story and were most certainly not on the witness stand. It's obvious - many people used Phil Spector and the de riguer gun story to advance their careers. And now, Stephen Gianelli (who is always so helpful posting documents on Scribd about me and Phillip and who seems to think you are a moron) thinks these three gun stories are a conspiracy. He may have a point there but the conspiracy doesn't involve me. Everyone has Leonard Cohen to thank. I think that's definitely why Streeter elicited so much testimony about Phil Spector and had the DA's investigator hanging out in the courtroom and lunching with Cohen. How obscene is that? On taxpayer dollars. I do wish I could call my book LA Confidential.
Love,
Kelley

He had a history of fooling around with guns. He pulled guns on Leonard Cohen and the Ramones, and accidentally shot a bullet into the ceiling during a John Lennon recording session. He also had a history of threatening women and holding them against their will, including Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas. Knowing this history, what happened to Lana Clarkson seemed inevitable.
