A Los Angeles Court says that NCIS star Pauley Perrette’s ten year Internet “hate campaign” against her ex-husband Francis Coyote Shivers can be considered “abuse,” opening the door for Shivers to file a restraining order against Perrette.
For the past decade, Shivers has openly offered to voluntarily sign mutual stay away orders with Perrette, to ensure the parties stay apart, but Perrette refuses, instead litigating for one-way orders. Shivers says that’s because Perrette wants to use them to get as close as possible to him…and then call 911.
During the hearing, the court heard about hundreds of tweets by both Perrette and Shivers, both accusing the other of “stalking.” Perrette compared her divorce to the holocaust, and compared herself to holocaust victims.
Judge Michael J. Convey asked Shivers if he also wished to a restraining order against Perrette, and Shivers replied, “Yes.”
The court granted Perrette’s request for a restraining order, but stated that Perrette cant use it to force Shivers out of restaurants, saying “If he (Shivers) and his wife are there first, and Perrette walks in, she has to turn around and leave.”
The court also noted, “Sometimes the person with the restraining order, continues to engage the person who is restrained.” The court further found that “in this case, both parties refuse to disengage.”
By finding that Perrette continues to engage Shivers, the court has opened the door for Shivers to file for a restraining Order against Pauley Perrette, indicating the court is already inclined to grant it.
