Steven,

I, as you know, and filing a new opening brief that will factually correct the incoherent brief filed by my court appointed lawyer.  I am now representing myself.  I was questioned about an email I sent you.  The subject line read - Marty Machat letter to Cannon Carter/Irving Trust Re:  His share of Stranger Music, inc.
The prosecutor - who clearly attempted to sabotage the IRS and my future litigation issues, doesn't appear to believe that I have a good faith or legitimate purpose for addressing this matter with Cohen.  You asked me for the evidence I had re. Stranger Music.  It is my opinion that Leonard Cohen concealed his theft of your
and your father's share of this entity, even if you've decided to put it behind you.  And, I believe your book addresses that.

I think it's legitimate to address that with Cohen because 1) you could have potentially moved to overturn the Stranger Music sale to Sony; and 2) the IRS could review that sale and determine that Leonard Cohen was not the rightful owner and has a pattern of stating that he is the sole beneficial owner of entities
that he is not and furthermore appears to view himself as the alter ego who engages in self dealing.

So, the prosecutor (who is a lunatic) says - "There's no mention in that about request for tax document ..."  Good faith/legitimate purpose has nothing to do with taxes and LA Superior Court shouldn't be hearing tax matters.  They have no jurisdiction.  The bulk of the testimony relates to the IRS, a 1099 I'm owed, illegal
K-1s Cohen issued m, a proper accounting, the fact that Cohen used restraining orders to prevent me from addressing litigation issues, filing my tax returns, etc.  I owe no taxes.

So my question to you is this - I testified that I felt this was a serious business matter.  I was not told - advised at the time by Mr. Cohen that Steven and Marty Machat owned 15%.  She then goes onto say I didn't raise this with Cohen because it wasn't about taxes.  I then responded by saying that Kory told me there were some problems re. taxes and Stranger Music, the manner in which copyrights were assigned to entities in anticipation of sales, etc.

Do you think these issues I attempted to address were legitimate?  Your book appears to take that position.

All the best,
Kelley

"You are a cheat!" shouted the attorney to his opponent.
"And you're a liar!" bellowed the opposition.
Banging his gavel loudly, the judge interjected, "Now that both attorneys have been identified for the record, let's get on with the case."
