NOTE: A non-published email was sent to Larry Rohter, NY Times, regarding their shabby reporting and unprofessional journalism. Larry Rohter absolutely asked me to call him. I am surprised Cohen didn't ask Streeter to ask the judge to bar me from communicating with Larry Rohter and the other journalists copied in on my emails. The judge understood my 1st Amendment rights. Furthermore, I am not slandering Cohen. I am telling the truth, he is slandering me, and his conduct is now inconceivably deranged. His ongoing alignment with Jihad Gianelli is extremely telling. The same is true re. Susanne Walsh. The refund defense should thrill the IRS. A default judgment does not prove the merits of Cohen's fraudulent claims. It did, however, wrongfully alter my federal and state tax returns which I assume is illegal. Agent Tejeda/IRS could have absolutely testified to that fact with respect to my returns - if he has any concerns about Cohen's privacy issues. Cohen isn't concerned about them and lies about the IRS on the witness stand. Kory and Rice lie in writing and on the stand - the IRS rules regarding reporting requirements cannot be trumped by a restraining order. I now have that in writing and this is another issue Agent Tejeda/IRS could have addressed on the witness stand. The IRS does not have a requirement that U.S. citizens must use extreme measures - including a ssubpoena - to obtain a 1099, information needed for their returns, and the mere allegation is factually absurd.

Former Manager Is Convicted of Harassing Leonard Cohen

Everybody knows it’s not uncommon for fans of Leonard Cohen‘s to become fixated on him and his romantic if sinister music. But a jury has decided that a former business manager of that Canadian singer-songwriter harassed him by sending him hundreds of e-mails and voicemail messages that at times left him feeling threatened, The Associated Press reported.Maybe Itzkoff's fixated on Leonard Cohen and his romantic if sinister music or the man himself but I am not. The man is obscene and revolting. That's my personal opinion based on a long up close and personal study. I wasn’t charged with harassment. I was charged with an “intent to annoy” although Cohen’s testimony that he was “annoyed” does not prove the elements of this preposterous crime. No one proved I sent these emails. Not even an IP address was mentioned. I had no time to review them and have no idea what was submitted to the court. The voicemails are not date/time stamped as Detective Viramontes/LAPD wrote in his report – advising Cohen how to testify. Cohen, a liar with motive, is not in a position to testify to dates and times. Since there was no date/time stamp no expert witness could independently conclude when these voicemails were sent. The sound and volume on these voicemails were altered and that’s evidence tampering. I am having The Scientist – a legendary record producer and sound engineer – review them. Mr. Cohen stopped working with the former manager, Kelley Lynch, in 2004, and had obtained a court order for her to stop contacting him. The case against Ms. Lynch, decided Thursday in a Los Angeles court, centered on messages that she sent the singer between February 2011 and January of this year, which prosecutors said made Mr. Cohen’s life “a complete and utter living hell,” according to The A.P. Leonard Cohen heard, in the fall of 2004, that I was reporting his tax fraud to the IRS. He, Neal Greenberg, and Richard Westin were all hysterical. The man lied about the assets in Traditional Holdings (millions – and there is a letter to my lawyers from Robert Kory asking if Cohen’s loans would be forgiven which was concealed from the jury) and lied that he had no money. He had recently received a $1 million advance for “Dear Heather.” Only an arrogant elitist would think he is broke when he just received $1 million. Perhaps his loans to TH and the monies he owed me for commissions and my share of intellectual property made this greedy man feel that he had obligations. He planned, all along, to go on tour and he and I discussed that extensively. My lawyers are aware that Kory told them that Leonard Cohen planned to go on Oprah to blow the whistle on Neal Greenberg and Richard Westin. They discussed Greenberg for 3 hours and discussed me, at that meeting, for approximately 7 minutes. Jury members were played several messages that Ms. Lynch left for Mr. Cohen, using obscene language and at times describing him as her enemy. In testimony on Tuesday, Mr. Cohen said he had found the messages increasingly alarming. ” ‘Cohen is going to be hung’ is not agreeable to hear,” he told jurors. Leonard Cohen, according to a scholar who has studied him, wrote the most obscene novel ever published in Canada. He has lyrics that state “Give me crack and anal sex” which caused Sony to sticker the album. Leonard Cohen uses obscenities. A curse word is not obscene. Leonard Cohen is obscene and he is also, as Steven Machat and Ann Diamond understand, a misogynist. Lawyers for Ms. Lynch said Mr. Cohen had a sexual relationship with her, which the singer acknowledged but did not mention in a pretrial hearing. Mr. Cohen said he had a “brief intimate relationship” with Ms. Lynch but it was not romantic and that millions of dollars had gone unaccounted for while she represented him. Lawyers for Lynch never asked Lynch if she had a sexual relationship with Leonard Cohen. Leonard Cohen perjured himself in the bail – not pre-trial hearing – when he testified that we only had a business relationship. That is not failing to mention it. A “brief intimate relationship, according to Cohen – in the 80s, is not a “dating relationship.” Nothing about Cohen is romantic. That would include his sitting there showing me people defecating on one another on the internet. I brought this to the attention of numerous people at the time. Millions of dollars did not go unaccounted for and Cohen has stolen from me. The ledger attached to the retaliatory fraudulent lawsuit is not an accounting. There are no assets listed. No valuations. Cohen’s expenses and transaction fees, loans, etc. do not appear on that ledger. And, while he testified that “Dear Heather” was on the ledger, no income is stated. Cohen has problems now – this ledger lists income in 2004 from LCI to me. And yet, the K1s that were illegally transmitted to the IRS (I am not a partner on that entity and Cohen’s declaration notes that he is the 100% owner) note $0 income for 2004. I had someone familiar with K1s review them. She had never seen anything like these K1s in her life. Ms. Lynch was convicted on two counts of leaving or sending harassing or obscene messages and five counts of violating a restraining order, all misdemeanors, and could face up to five years in jail, The A.P. said. I was not convicted of sending harassing or obscene messages. I was convicted (based on lies, fraud, perjury, concealment, etc.) of an “intent to annoy” a man who has destroyed my life, used vicious tactics, targeted my family, etc. The evidence speaks for itself and is in the possession of the IRS. The Boulder restraining order, procured by fraud, is invalid. Leonard Cohen feels perfectly comfortable lying on the witness stand – and he now has a story about Phil Spector and a gun that is inconsistent with the version of events that Phil Spector’s prosecutors have with respect to the alleged Phil Spector/Leonard Cohen gun story. As someone who knows him noted – he is an arrogant and conceited liar. That’s why he feels comfortable telling these insane stories on the witness stand.
NOTE: The DA’s office didn’t prosecute this misdemeanor matter. That speaks volumes about the poster who appears to live in Wisconsin with Kelly Green of Blogonaut Law Blog fame and the Darwin Exception – that targeted Phil Spector and appeared to be affiliated with prosecutor Alan Jackson of the DA’s office.
Well, thank God for small favors (actually not so small). This woman has been harassing and maligning Mr. Cohen for many, many years and it's about time she has been stopped. She has not only harassed Mr. Cohen, but has harassed and threatened anyone who came to his defense, or even just praised his music. Thank God for the LA District Attorneys Office and on behalf of all of us who have been harassed and threatened by Ms. Lynch I say a great, big THANK YOU!

Stephen Scobie was born in Carnoustie, Scotland in 1943. He earned his Master of Arts degree from the University of St. Andrews and came to Canada in 1965.
