Hello Captain Bornman,

How are you?  I would like you and LASD to review the following harassing email from Leonard Cohen's operative, Stephen Gianelli, who also appears to be moonlighting for the Spector prosecution.  Evidently, based on Cohen's fraudulent default judgment, LASD will seize any book advance I negotiate.  I am, therefore, forced to advise you that I will direct any potential advance to be paid directly to Spetnatz, Iran's Revolutionary Guard, Mossad, President Kadyrov (Chechnya), and a particular monastery in Bhutan so that they can deal with LASD's seizure of their bank accounts.  I feel this is, while unfortunate and extreme, the best way to handle the ongoing insanity and threats.  I've asked Senate Judiciary, FBI and CIA to let me know if the proposed handling of my book publishing "advance," and a potential LASD raid, pose any problems from their point of view.

Let me know if you have any questions.  By the way, I will be filing my RICO suit against Cohen in the very near future.

Kelley

A writ of execution is issued ex parte by the court (without notice to the judgment debtor).

It is good for 180 days. You deliver it to the civil division of the sheriff where the property you want garnished, seized, attached or sold is located. You must also send to the sheriff  ‎written instructions identifying the property to be attached, sold, seized, or garnished - such as "all bank accounts in the name of the judgment debtor located in the Bank of America branch located at 1356 Wilsire Blvd". The bank must then take the money out of the account, send it to the Sheriff, who in turn writes a check to the judgment plaintiff and sends it care of plaintiff's counsel.

In the case of property, say, a movie script, treatment, or manuscript, ‎the sheriff physically seizes the items and notices a "sheriff's sale" in a certain # of days specified by statute. If the public shows up to bid, cash is required. The judgnent creditor may bid at the sale using a "credit bid" of a small part of the judgment, raising the bid until he is the winner of the property at auction. The sheriff then issues a legally binding title to the item seized and sold and the judgment debtor receives a credit for the amount of the winning bid bid or credit bid.

The point is that Cohen will never have to "take you to court to fight about it" (as you have incorrectly stated). It's all routine. And easily done.

And there is nothing short of a bankruptcy filing that will stop it.
