IRS,
Still reviewing evidence. I'm attaching the public defender's attorney client notes re. their conversation with Steven Machat to my motion. Machat advised them that in or around 1970, Mary Martin, Judy Berger signed an agreement. These were Cohen's first managers. Machat & Machat negotiated Cohen's release from their agreement. Steven notes that Cohen accused them of "stolen rights" and "misappropriated copyrights." I have the paperwork from that Stock Purchase and the three copyrights Cohen falsely accuses them of stealing are not listed.
Machat mentioned that in 1988 Marty Machat was dying. They had an interest in Stranger Muisc. Cohen, at that time, refused to pay Machat & Machat commissions due and advised Machat that he/they had "mismanaged business" and he "wouldn't pay them." That's a bald faced lie. Machat & Machat mismanaged nothing.
Steven Machat negotiated the 1977 settlement agreement with respect to "When I Need You." This was based on an infringement of Cohen's song "Famous Blue Raincoat." Advised my public defender that Cohen "stopped paying" royalties to Machat & Machat on that song.
There is another page that I have to find with comments made by Machat. The attorney notes end with this comment from Machat: "Used companies set up by Marty Machat to avoid taxes."
My public defender viewed the trial as "part of the plan to destroy Ms. Lynch's credibility" and the email harassment issue as a "careful and detailed" plan from the beginning. I think that's obvious and the "plan" was probably in place in 2005.
One final point re. these notes for now. The public defender confirmed that the prosecutor did not provide them with one document proving Cohen provided me with the IRS required information for 2004. Therefore, why did Streeter call it a ruse; falsely accuse me of having the information; etc? Her motives need very careful consideration; should include an investigation into communications with Spector's DA; and may also involve being "star struck."
All the best,
Kelley
