Someone recently posted this article to Facebook. I suppose it's true that some spies wear tuxedos, drink martinis and drive Aston Martins. And, I suppose some women would like to be Leonard Cohen's "scorned" lover. Others yet need to be drug tested. I can attest to the fact that Cohen personally told me he was in CIA's MKULTRA program. He has tantalized journalists with his tales about being recon during the Bay of Pigs and someone whom Castro's forces arrested and interrogated. Leonard Cohen evidently loves a good revolution. These facts I understand. What I don't understand is why CIA would use Cohen to promote anything whatsoever other than the Dark Side of the Peace & Love Generation. This particular article addresses another Cuban incident where Cohen, who personally told me this story many times, was held at machine gun-point by a Cuban soldier but managed to escape when (due to a commotion) the young man turned away and Cohen simply walked onto the tarmac and boarded the last plane out of Cuba before the Bay of Pigs. This article does mention Cohen's line that he is "our most important spy."
I would like to interview CIA about Cohen's revolutionary and intelligence ventures.
