Hi Ann,
Gianell is now a CIA MKULTRA expert. He's discussed the program with Alan Hootnick evidently. That does not change the fact that Cohen told us, and others, that he participated in the program. Cohen must feel exposed. He has also definitely advised the news media that he was reconnaissance during the Bay of Pigs, the first of the operatives in Cuba, and someone arrested and interrogated by Castro's forces. Are we to blame for this? Cohen has personally spoken to the news media at length about his drug and alcohol abuse - including meth, LSD, and mandrax. His nickname was Captain Mandrax. He is on film, Bird on A Wire (owned by Steven Machat and stolen by Cohen at one point) high on LSD attempting to start a riot in Israel. Is that our fault also? Is it our fault that Freda Guttman questioned you about Lorca Cohen's statements at Concordia about her father. Is it our fault that Cohen's cousin, Lord Janner, is being prosecuted for crimes against children? Is that the "royalty" Gianelli is referring to?
Gianelli is not only an agent provocateur, infiltrator, and harasser, he is also Cohen's spin meister. I see Gianelli doesn't want to weigh in on Cohen's stories about his role in Bay of Pigs, Yom Kippur War, etc.
I would also like to interview someone at CIA re. Cohen's Bay of Pigs stories. CIA has released documents about this extremely old situation and should be comfortable speaking about Cohen's role, no? I'll be filing FOIA requests soon.
Are you and I to blame for the fact that Cohen has now stolen from me, Machat and Machat, and Phil Spector (according to Machat who confirmed with Sony that Cohen sold Phil Spector's master tapes to them)?
Cohen is the individual who is obsessed. He thinks he, being a great misogynist, can simply lie and publicly state that women are disgruntled. Who would be disgruntled over this clown? The lengths he has gone to target us are deranged. And let's not forget about his three versions of his good rock 'n roll gun story about Spector before LA Superior Court; his testimony that I never stole from him; his testimony that we were in a purely business relationship; his provable perjured testimony during my so-called trial; his probable criminal tax fraud; etc.
It is possible, Ann, that CIA MKULTRA forced Cohen to do these things. Then again, it is possible that Leonard Cohen is a chronic liar, fraud, and thief. In any event, Gianelli's out of control. That's for certain.

I had to laugh when I read this review because it so bluntly expresses my views of the author - with whom I have corresponded. Nor does she require any actual evidence (in the way an analytical person would define evidence) to jump to wild conclusions. From her unproven premise that Leonard Cohen took part in some LSD experiments while at university she extrapolates that Cohen's entire career and body of work was at the behest of the CIA in service of the mind control of the general population.
The CIA did perform so called "mind control" experiments in the 1950's and 1960's. This is well documented. It is also well known that none of these experiments were successful. Therefore, the FACT of CIA past experiments in no way supports the hypothesis that the CIA is currently engaged in a vast conspiracy to control the thoughts and minds of others through the song lyrics of a relatively obscure singer-songwriter (which notion is preposterous on its face).
Diamond has other opinions that some would regard as outliers, including those expressed in an essay she titled "Her Satanic Majesties", in which she states she is "certain" that various named members of the British Royal Family engaged in satanic rituals and animal sacrifice.
You are not the only one to form the impression that Diamond is an obsessed (former) Cohen fan. Some of her published essays could also be objectively read as supporting that inference, including her description of sitting in a public park for hours outside Cohen's apartment gazing up at his window and also her description of her trip to Hydra (where Cohen maintains a summer residence) also apparently hoping for a glimpse of the man (including standing at the foot of Cohen's villa gazing upward).Permalink | Report abuse | Ignore this customer

Last edited by the author 22 hours agoI always welcome informed discussion of The Man Next Door, which Mr. GIANELLI has clearly not read. Also, Mr. GIANELLI is mistaken in his claim that the CIA's experiments stopped - as former bureau chief Victor Marchetti has stated in numerous interviews, MKULTRA simply erased its tracks and continued under a different cover: http://www.coverups.com/great-coverups/cia-mind-control.htm
It's also clear from other errors that Mr. GIANELLI has not read The Man Next Door and is only pursuing his long standing vendetta and email campaign in a new venue.Your reply to Lunamoth's post:
