NOTE: Prosecutor Sandra Jo Streeter was in possession of an "IRS binder" that proves there was no IRS holding with respect to Leonard Cohen's fraudulent default judgment against Kelley Lynch. Furthermore, the documents in that binder prove - unequivocally - that Cohen and his representatives LIED about an IRS refund closing their case on the allegations that he committed criminal tax fraud. This man feels totally comfortable defrauding people (Kelley Lynch, Phil Spector, Steven and Marty Machat, and possibly others - he defrauded attorney Peter Lopez of $90,000 and simply does not like to pay his advisers properly) of millions of dollars; defrauding the U.S. and various state governments of millions of dollars; evading taxation in Canada where he can no longer reside due to residence/tax issues; perjuring himself extensively - including with respect to Phil Spector; and behaving like a common criminal. And yet, the news media glorifies him. This man is not religious and his relationship to religion is essentially to use it as a front. What it is, in fact, is an affront to one's intelligence. The lies and perjury Leonard Cohen has told before LA Superior Court shock the conscience. Fortunately, most of them are provable lies. That would include his three versions of the Phil Spector gun story he has embellished over the years. LA Superior Court now has his versions that vary with respect to neck, head, and chest & the weapon itself changes as frequently as Cohen's good rock and roll stories meant to advance his career. Phil Spector's prosecutors believe the weapon was a semi-automatic. Cohen seemed certain it was an automatic. In some far-fetched "recountings," the weapon was actually a crossbow. Other versions include a bottle of wine. Leonard Cohen cannot stop lying. When caught, his excuses are utterly pathetic.
Kelly: Now, isn’t it true that -- well, before I go there, do you blame -- well, you actually had a financial consultant who invested your money, in that account, correct? Streeter: Objection; relevance. Cohen: I don’t understand that question. Streeter: Relevance, Your Honor. Objection. Court: Let me see counsel at sidebar. Sidebar: Court: ... What is the relevance? Kelly: Your Honor, it goes to two things: First, I think it’s relevant because it goes to bias. (RT 288) It goes to his bias against my client. He’s already testified about issues regarding his account ... that’s first. Second of all, I do believe it goes to character for truthfulness., I have a good faith belief that -- and this is based on Federal Court documentation -- that there was an attempted conspiracy ... Court: I’m not going to get into a retrial of the civil issues between Ms. Lynch and Mr. Cohen, so I’m not going to let you go very far into the extent of the business dealings. You made a motion very early on, which I in limine granted ... the issues in this trial are whether a protective order was violated and whether annoying ... phone calls were made. Streeter: ... And then that will lead to further -- the People asking more questions of the person in particular that was responsible for getting the default judgment in the (RT 289) holding of the IRS ... Kelly: ... I do think what does matter if there’s any character for truthfulness if it shows that Mr. Cohen attempted to lie, I have a good faith belief that this information ... (RT 290)

Paul Shaffer On His Friend Phil Spector
'Late Show' bandleader Paul Shaffer says he'll visit pal Phil Spector in prison

TORONTO - "Late Show" bandleader Paul Shaffer says his friendship with convicted murderer Phil Spector has not wavered in the wake of the music producer's incarceration.
The late-night TV sidekick said Friday that he even plans to visit Spector in prison as soon as he gets the chance, noting they've been friends for 20 years.
"We went out to hear jazz together and I got to be in the recording studio with him watching him work," Shaffer said during a brief stop in Toronto to promote his recently released memoir, "We'll Be Here for the Rest of Our Lives."
"I think of all the things that I've gotten to do, all the wonderful people that I've played with, being in the recording studio with Phil Spector tops them all. And of course now he is in prison. I hope to visit him, I still consider him a friend and what can you say? A terrible way for a guy like that to be remembered. He is a great artist, still."
Shaffer said he hasn't spoken with Spector since before the songwriter was charged in the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. Spector was convicted earlier this year and is serving 19 years to life in a California prison.
Still, Shaffer says he considers himself "a loyal friend."
"When he and I were hanging out he was a great friend and a great supporter of mine and came to my aid in a number of places that I can remember," said Shaffer, who is originally from Thunder Bay, Ont.
Spector's musical influence on Shaffer is one of the many anecdotes included in the light-hearted book, which steers clear of divulging any dirt or touching on well-publicized celebrity scandals.
The memoir includes stories from Shaffer's days at "Saturday Night Live" providing the musical backdrop for comics including Gilda Radner and John Belushi, his longtime friendship with fellow Canucks Martin Short and Eugene Levy, and backstage encounters with musical legends including Bob Dylan and Ray Charles.
It also delves into his early days as bandleader of NBC's "Late Night with David Letterman," and later on CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman."
On Friday, Shaffer steered clear of commenting on any of the recent controversy surrounding Letterman, who admitted to sexual relations with female staffers on the CBS talk show .
Shaffer said he's been told that he cannot speak about it while legal proceedings are underway.

Streeter: Do you recall if you received a voice mail message from Ms. Lynch around May 19, 2011? Cohen: I believe I did. (RT 255) Streeter: ... Did you receive that voice mail message from Ms. Lynch on approximately May 19, 2011? Cohen: Yes, I did ... Streeter; Do you know a person by the name of Paul Shaffer? Cohen: Yes,, I know him. Streeter: Who is that? Cohen: Paul Shaffer is David Letterman’s bandleader. Streeter: ... Do you know a person by the name of Dylan? Cohen: Yes, I do. Streeter: Who is that? (RT 256) Cohen: That’s Bob Dylan. Streeter: ... Were you ever with Mr. Dylan when Ms. Lynch was in your employ? Cohen: I met with Bob Dylan several times. We have a cordial acquaintance. Streeter: How about Mr. Shaffer? Was he ever around when Ms. Lynch was in your employ? Are you from America or from a different country? Cohen: I’m from Canada. Streeter: Is Mr. Shaffer from a different country? Cohen: I think he is. I’m not certain. (RT 257)
NOTE: Bob Dylan is a friend of Phil Spector’s and I wrote him because he helped save Hurricane Carter. I know Paul Shaffer personally through Phil Spector. He is a close friend of Phillip’s and Cohen and I did bump into Paul at the Juno Awards. In fact, Paul told Phillip that I was pregnant with Ray and Phillip repeated this in front of me and Cohen’s daughter, Lorca Cohen, who Cohen encouraged to visit Phillip (with me) at the Bel Air Hotel after Ray’s birth. Cohen also encouraged me to have dinner with Phillip after the Clarkson incident which I did. He told me Phillip needed a friend. Cohen can’t live in Canada because he has residence/tax issues there. He told me he obtained a new green card (a couple of years after abandoning his green card following Marty Machat’s death) due to the fact that Canada Revenue asks where you filed your prior returns while the IRS does not. This all relates to his off-shore accounts; badges of residency in Canada; paying non-resident taxes in the U.S. while holding a U.S. green card; the 1977 tax memo he received advising him that he didn’t have to pay taxes where he has residences (the U.S., Canada, and Greece) but cautioning him not to have a U.S. green card. Probably his numerous social security numbers that his accountant helped resolved after Marty Machat’s death.
Leonard Cohen's Perjured Testimony Re. Phil Spector & A Gun Incident - Email Sent To Dennis Riordan cc: Spector Prosecutor Alan Jackson
April 10, 2012
Cohen Cross Examination
Kelly: Now, one of these emails that she mentioned was sent on April 18, 2011 at around 8:11 AM ... do you remember testifying about that email? Cohen: Yes, I believe I did. Kelly: ... And when you testified about that email, you said that you remember receiving that email? (RT 265) Cohen: Yes, I think I did. Kelly: Can you point out where exactly on the list of recipients that your email address shows up? Cohen: Perhaps I missed this one. Kelly: Okay. But you did testify, though, that you remember receiving that email, correct? Do you remember testifying to that? Cohen: I believe I did. Kelly: Okay. Were you wrong when you -- did you misspeak when you said that? Cohen: I haven’t checked every address. Kelly: Okay. You can take a moment -- Cohen: It’s very small. Kelly: Take all the time that you need. Cohen: If you say it’s not here, I understand what your point will be ... And your email is not on that, correct? Cohen: That’s correct. (RT 266)
NOTE: Cohen was not copied in on this email. I believe Alan Jackson was. I believe this email was sent to Dennis Riordan. This raises very very serious issues.
Now, you mentioned that she would also (RT 159) mention, talk about Mr. Spector in the emails ... email from Ms. Lynch on approximately April 18, 2011 at about 5:44 AM ... People’s 13 ... Streeter: ... Now, thinking back to the emails that you received from Ms. Lynch about Mr. Spector, would she use his whole name or would she use part of his name, or did it vary. Cohen: I(t varied, but I think it was usually Phil Spector ... occasionally when she spoke of him as someone she knew well, I think she would call him Phillip ... Streeter: It’s April 18, 2011. I misspoke. It’s at 8:11 AM. (RT 161) Streeter: ... see if that email helps you recall whether or not there was any mention of either a Phil, a Phillip or Phil Spector in the email? Cohen: In this particular email, Mr. Spector is called Phillip ... Streeter: Is your name mentioned in any way with Phillip, Mr. Cohen? Cohen: Yes. It says, Cohen told me Phillip never held a gun on him, and that would support what he told LAPD. (RT 161)
I view this as Streeter using perjured and false testimony to introduce evidence with respect to Phil Spector and a gun. It is unconscionable. I have forwarded you the email. It was sent to you and Alan Jackson was copied in. Very coincidental that it was about Phil Spector and a gun, no? What vile human beings.

Phil Spector Tease #2

Just when you thought you couldn’t get any more excited about HBO’s upcoming slate of original programming, we now have a teaser for David Mamet ’s “ Phil Spector .” The TV movie starring Al Pacino as Phil Spector and Helen Mirren as his defense attorney is just two months away from its television premiere. While HBO doesn’t really give us much to go by, the very idea of a Pacino-Mirren-Mamet team up on the small screen should be exciting in itself.
“Phil Spector,” inspired by true events, centers on famed music producer's relationship with his defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden while on trial for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. The teaser doesn’t give us any footage of the upcoming film, just images of records shattering while we hear bits and pieces of dialogue. The Righteous Brothers’ song “Unchained Melody” can also be heard in the background, which just so happened to have been produced by the legendary record producer himself.
It should be interesting to see Al Pacino team up with David Mamet, Pacino had a very memorable turn as Ricky Roma in the film version of “Glengarry Glen Ross” which of course was written by Mamet (and based on his well-known play). Pacino was the only actor in that 1992 film to earn an Oscar nomination so getting a chance to hear Pacino speak Mamet’s words once again should be a real treat.
“Phil Spector” will premiere on HBO on Sunday, March 24th at 9pm.

City Attorney Carmen Trutanich Has An Interesting Definition Of Legitimate - See The IRS, FBI, DOJ, Treasury, FTB, Phil Spector, & Theft - This Man Will Not Be Assigning Me A Dating Relationship

Steven,
I, as you know, and filing a new opening brief that will factually correct the incoherent brief filed by my court appointed lawyer. I am now representing myself. I was questioned about an email I sent you. The subject line read - Marty Machat letter to Cannon Carter/Irving Trust Re: His share of Stranger Music, inc.
The prosecutor - who clearly attempted to sabotage the IRS and my future litigation issues, doesn't appear to believe that I have a good faith or legitimate purpose for addressing this matter with Cohen. You asked me for the evidence I had re. Stranger Music. It is my opinion that Leonard Cohen concealed his theft of your
and your father's share of this entity, even if you've decided to put it behind you. And, I believe your book addresses that.
I think it's legitimate to address that with Cohen because 1) you could have potentially moved to overturn the Stranger Music sale to Sony; and 2) the IRS could review that sale and determine that Leonard Cohen was not the rightful owner and has a pattern of stating that he is the sole beneficial owner of entities
that he is not and furthermore appears to view himself as the alter ego who engages in self dealing.
So, the prosecutor (who is a lunatic) says - "There's no mention in that about request for tax document ..." Good faith/legitimate purpose has nothing to do with taxes and LA Superior Court shouldn't be hearing tax matters. They have no jurisdiction. The bulk of the testimony relates to the IRS, a 1099 I'm owed, illegal
K-1s Cohen issued m, a proper accounting, the fact that Cohen used restraining orders to prevent me from addressing litigation issues, filing my tax returns, etc. I owe no taxes.
So my question to you is this - I testified that I felt this was a serious business matter. I was not told - advised at the time by Mr. Cohen that Steven and Marty Machat owned 15%. She then goes onto say I didn't raise this with Cohen because it wasn't about taxes. I then responded by saying that Kory told me there were some problems re. taxes and Stranger Music, the manner in which copyrights were assigned to entities in anticipation of sales, etc.
Do you think these issues I attempted to address were legitimate? Your book appears to take that position.
All the best,
Kelley

"You are a cheat!" shouted the attorney to his opponent.
"And you're a liar!" bellowed the opposition.
Banging his gavel loudly, the judge interjected, "Now that both attorneys have been identified for the record, let's get on with the case."
